Romney's justification is a smokescreen. He wanted more witnesses but voted for removal anyway on one article. Now he's saying Trump withheld funds for an ally at war with Russian invaders which was debunked by the White House team. None of the temporary delayed money was current money, further, the impeachment revealed Trump bucked his own joint chiefs by OKing the Javelin missiles. Further, his predecessor Obama provided no lethal aid despite the authorization to do so AND that's when Russia invaded.

Romney's bitter he lost the White House and Trump won. Romney's offended by Trump's brash style and personal manner.

That Romney is announcing this far out he won't vote for Trump's reelection says he doesn't believe in redemption and puts the lie to his faith-based moral justification for his vote to remove.

This is the same man who attacked Trump during 2016, then went hat-in-hand looking for the Secretary of State job, then asked Trump's support in his bid for US Senate.
