Of course, back in 1979, we didnt have a lot of information available. What I do know for sure, is that at the time of the Embassy attack, all the Iranian student pilots in Texas, were pulled out of pilot training. Sometime after that, they all left the base, but we never knew for sure, where they went.
I also had an Iranian Air Force enlisted man working for me, for 6 months of training. This dude was a hazard to air navigation. I couldnt even trust him to answer the landlines 📞 properly. I had to watch him with both eyes 👀 He was utterly incompetent, as were most of them.

I recall in 1949 at San Angelo where pilot training included a detachment of foreign student pilots. All training was in the T-6. A foreign student froze on the stick causing the plane to stall and go straight in killing both he and the instructor.
