low blood sugar in diabetics can be dangerous because the body runs on glucose. Low glucose, low electric. Low electric, low functions. Besides the obvious effects on the heart, the diabetic may act like a drunk at closing time - rambling, confused, emotional, distressed - which can be misinterpreted by observers. (we saw a bit of that distress in the video - he’s worried about dying from diabetic coma instead of concern about the virus). The med station on board should have glucose tabs. Although hopefully he’s got his own kit, too, and getting more food by now.

Yea, that’s why I said he said he should get another doctor...he’ll need to first get off the meds (assuming Type 2, of course), then he won’t get hit by low glucose if he fasts. But if he fasts, or even goes low-carb, while still on meds, then yes, what you say can happen, and it can kill hime.
