I think I am very frustrated with this and agree with what you said. I said long ago that I strongly suspected that Ryan was the one who backed Trump down on getting to the bottom of the corruption and then the Mueller and all the other nonsense began.
I have maintained all along that the deep state and democrat investigations had nothing to do with “justice” and everything to do with proactively preventing an examination of what occurred and all of what I wrote previously on this thread. Ukrainegate confirmed that for me.
It is a shame that more Americans cannot see this as it is seems quite obvious.
I sincerely pray that we will see Trump unleashed after November. He has not done a single thing that I can see to “benefit himself” and has been sincere about taking action on our behalf instead of the ruling class.
It is hard for me to swallow that he will let this rot remain in our government unmolested, but I get that he lives in a political world now and every action has an upside and a downside.
It is sometimes easier to leave things alone if the solution is too messy. Human nature strikes again. That is why we spend so much more than we take in each year because the politicians would be punished for “fixing it” so we continue the slide to our inevitable economic Armageddon, but that is for another thread.

I don’t think he’s going to let that happen. It is just painfully slow.
One thing that always makes me feel more encouraged is - instead of dwelling on how many deep state holdovers still remain - think about how many more would be there if Hillary Clinton had won, and how much more power they would have.
Remember, the deep state that remains is no longer running things - they were completely decapitated the minute Obama left office and was not succeeded by a Democrat. They were completely defunded the minute the K street lobbyists bribing them realized Trump had won. They have little time to conspire with Democrats in the fake news and legislature - they are far too busy scurrying around destroying evidence, covering their asses, and waiting for the other shoe to drop.
President Trump is draining the swamp - far less dramatic than many were hoping for - but the swamp is draining.
