I can remember when assorted FReepers were celebrating what they thought would Manchin’s impending switch from D to R.
You can’t trust a democRat, no matter what he, she, or ze claims to be.
Manchin is ranking member on the Senate energy committee. Looks like he was given that perk over a much more senior Senator, Cantwell. He’s in line to chair the committee should the Dems retake the Senate. Since Manchin is not on the ballot for 4 years he really has nothing to gain to vote to acquit now and everything to lose.
