Based on the story, it sounds like NY is specifically not allowing ICE and CBP access to DMV data (i.e. driver license and license plate records), and it may be unique in this.
What I heard from the Acting Director was that access to an applicant's DMV records plays a pivotal part in accepting,or rejecting,an application.NY State has now denied access to their DMV database to the CBP. Incomplete info would probably mean application denied.
For your family's sake...and the sake of other law abiding New Yorkers...I hope I'm wrong.
Yup,that’s how I interpreted what I heard the DHS Acting Director say tonight.
The Rats have plenty of judges in place willing to engage in judicial tyranny by issuing an injunction to stop this rule.
The republic is now turning into a dis-union of sanctuary this and sanctuary that. Once upon a time in America there was no need for sanctuary as ALL law and order stood and the lunatics had to hide or be locked up. Now lunatics have their own sanctuary in this dystopian America. Very little difference between the politician,voter and criminal lunatics.

The next impeachment charge
I am on GE as a frequent flyer and if this happened to me I would be very disappointed. A lot of NY frequent flyers are going to be angry.
My Dad had that same complaint in the 50s through 1966 when we left upstate NY. My very first political memory is Dad and his buddies complaining how NYC was bleeding them dry with taxes.
60 years have gone by and nothing has changed....well, not true. It’s gotten LOTS worse.
A lot of NY flyers will be looking forward to getting that coveted Florida driver’s license even sooner than planned.

Are inadmissible to the United States under immigration regulation, including applicants with approved waivers of inadmissibility or parole documentation; or
Cannot satisfy CBP of your low-risk status.***

In my opinion, this is not in retaliation for NY’s Green Light Law, this is the effect of it. Whether the NY legislators intended it to do this for all of their constituents, I don’t know. Perhaps they did realize that it would affect so many innocent bystanders, and they simply don’t care. Maybe they were just trying to make Trump’s administration look bad. Of course, the media portrays it this way.
