“I have yet to hear an explanation about what went on between him [Sessions] and Trump.”

I am convinced there’s more to it than meets the eye. Maybe Trump will talk about it in his memoirs 10 years from now - maybe we’ll never know.

He was such a good senator, and seemed genuine and sincere. I do not believe he is deep state, nor do I believe he is “compromised” and under their control.

What I do think is that going up against a corrupt bureaucracy, is far, far more difficult and risky than people think. There’s way too many hostiles and you don’t know who they are. Being AG does not necessarily give you enough clout.

Hell, Donald Trump is POTUS, and tremendously strong one, and even he has been unable to root them out. Bill bar was supposed to be tough, Durham, etc.. I think it’s a lot tougher than it looks.

I think of it as being like getting rid of a thriving wasp nest in your gutter. You are up on a ladder with the can of poison. You need to be sure you kill them all or don’t kill any.

So maybe Sessions was too nice a guy to be suited for that job - it in my opinion, that’s about the worst I can say about him.

I am with you 1000% on your remarks I believe Sessions stepped into the DOJ having NO IDEA what the hell he was walking into, Sessions s a very mild mannered person I believe he was completely overwhelmed Obama had WEAPONIZED every damn department of government Trump as strong as he is had TRAITORS in his WH!! The damn Generals cannot even be trusted anymore,Trump thought he could ALWAYS count on military Generals to back their COC he was DEAD WRONG the deep state was deeper than even Trump suspected!!! I don’t blame Sessions he was an EXCELLENT senator and I would rather have him than Jones ANY DAY!!!

He is certainly not "deep state", and as I always saw him in the past, and especially observing him most recently, he is a very nice (good) guy, still with a twinkle in his eye. (jmo)

What I do think is that going up against a corrupt bureaucracy, is far, far more difficult and risky than people think. There’s way too many hostiles and you don’t know who they are. Being AG does not necessarily give you enough clout. ------- Yes indeed.

Hell, Donald Trump is POTUS, and tremendously strong one, and even he has been unable to root them out. Bill bar was supposed to be tough, Durham, etc.. I think it’s a lot tougher than it looks. ------ It's a lot tougher than it looks ...... and IT LOOKS PLENTY TOUGH. ;-)

I think of it as being like getting rid of a thriving wasp nest in your gutter. You are up on a ladder with the can of poison. You need to be sure you kill them all or don’t kill any. ------- Oh God .... that is pricelessly correct. Especially on a ladder....... ;-)

So maybe Sessions was too nice a guy to be suited for that job - it in my opinion, that’s about the worst I can say about him. ------- totally agree.

((Sorry for agreeing with you all the time, but you're just too damn wise/perceptive/aware.))
