House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., apparently did not enjoy President Trump's State of the Union address, tearing her printed copy of the speech immediately as the president wrapped up his remarks Tuesday night.
When Fox News asked her afterwards why she did it, she responded: "Because it was the courteous thing to do considering the alternatives." She added: "I tore it up. I was trying to find one page with truth on it. I couldn't."
On the heels of an impeachment trial, which is expected to end in an acquittal in the Senate on Wednesday, tension was palpable between Pelosi and Trump. The president apparently "snubbed" the speaker when she tried to shake his hand as he handed printed copies of his address to her and to Vice President Mike Pence.
Pelosi occasionally shuffled the pages of the president's speech throughout his address. When he finished, she made her dramatic move.

The way she shuffled and squinted at the pages, I had the image of a batty old lady at bingo night at the rest home.

In announcing Trump’s arrival, Pelosi intentionally amended the traditional introduction, “Members of Congress, I have the high privilege and distinct honor of presenting to you the President of the United States.” She gave a different version instead, “Members of Congress, the President of the United States,” That bitch started it all, and knew exactly what she was doing.
This is vintage Pelosi and she has used this bitterly divisive strategy of chutzpah, big lies and rude and inflammatory false statements to destroy the Presidency of George Bush, win the House in 2006 and 2018, get Barak Obama elected and make herself Speaker.
Not to mention ram ObamaCare through in the middle of the night and impeach President Trump for an fake, imaginary “crime” based on false, manufactured “evidence” produced from whole cloth by her partisan enemies of the President

It wasn’t “her” copy. It was the official copy of the House. This criminal loser shredded federal government document, breaking federal law. Arrest her!
Nasty Nan was busy throughout the SOTU speech...signaling her acolytes with almost imperceptible nods or looks...the uniformed women represented not a free society, but an enslaved group that followed not those who voted for them but for a truly nasty, unAmerican witch who has hi-jacked the US Constitution as her own weapon of political destruction. Nasty Nan provided us with lessons in rudeness, petulance, bad manners over all....To his credit President Trump did not shake his would be Executioner’s hand...President Trump is not a politician...President Trump was being presidential, a leader and a strong one. Nasty Nan stamped her feet and tore up the speech. Just beautiful!

Those are the key words. Handing a copy of a speech to a congressperson doesn’t count as “filing or depositing” it in an official capacity.

Just listened to the house Republican news conference. Excellent! LIZ Cheney appeared to tear up listening to KM at the end. I know I had a lump in throat.
Pelosi departed from normal decorum in introducing the President when he entered the chamber. She failed to say it was an honor and a privilege to introduce him. Trump didn't shake hands with her or Pence. Tearing up the speech behind his back was disgusting and petty.
