Nearing the end of his impeachment trial and on the eve of his third State of the Union address, President Trump’s job approval rating hit its highest level since he took office in the latest Gallup poll: 49 percent, compared to 50 percent of respondents who disapprove.

The survey, released Tuesday, showed a gain of 4 percentage points in Trump’s approval since early January. It also was 3 points over his previous high-water mark of 46 percent in late April 2019, around the time special counsel Robert Mueller’s report was released.

Crazy that this is on the front page of Yahoo. Wait until the Impeachment ends and the FUBAR of an Iowa caucus continues....

Oh, and that market is up almost 500 points today...

I think Gallup has usually lagged other polls, so this is very good.

FUBAR of an Iowa caucus continues....

Haha - I just switched on MSNBC for a moment, not talk about Trump or impeachment - it's all about the botched caucus; The best part was a clock that runs down at 5 pm - when half the voter totals will be released - Hahahaha

You cannot reasonably compare Trump approval with the Liberals because while both Clinton and Hussein received slobbering coverage by the lame stream media Trump’s coverage has been 99% negative since he was elected.

Had Trump received the same coverage as the other two my guess is his numbers today would be in the mid 60’s.

The most important numbers question is what is the rate of change per year in the amount we have to add to these polls, to get the true number?

50% hate low taxes, low unemployment, low welfare payments, prosperity, high stock prices. Not enough free things for them.

The thing that always gets me is no liberal can ever explain to me where we should begin. Ok, I get it, there’s income inequality. There is. Let’s just pretend that it’s governments role to do something about that. What free thing would help most?

1)Slavery Reparations? To whom would these be paid?

2)Forgiveness of College Debt? Ok, this would make an impact but not a huge windfall because the money hasn’t been spent. It’s not coming back. So let’s say you’re paying $200 per month. That’s all you’re gaining.

3)Free College Tuition? Would be nice but who would it extend to? And who’s paying for it? State schools only?

4)Free Healthcare? Too many “ifs” to list here.

5) Freedom Dividend

6) $15 mandatory minimum wage?

7) Green New Deal/ Climate Change Expenses

Even the most liberal of liberals should be able to understand that we can’t pay for ALL of this. So where do we start? No one, not a single politician has ever put forth a plan.

Trump 2020...to include taking back the House of Representatives. Then we must get back the state of Virginia.

I agree with all you say - another post had Obama at 42% at this point in his presidency.

Never ceases to amaze me how many otherwise reasonable FReepers seem to think the Dems can beat Trump in November. Hopefully this gets the doom-and-gloom crowd to lighten up a bit.
