If I could get through as a caller I’d like to talk to the Maha Rushi about how his sense of humor and wit developed...Was he a reader of MAD Magazine when he was a kid? Who did he think was really, really funny? What sort of TV shows did he think were really, really funny?...What were his friends like in school and in his neighborhood? What was one of the funniest things that ever happened back then?, etc.

Now that is a call I'd pay to hear. Give it a try next Open Line Friday - not that Fridays are really any different.

The very first time I called I got through and the screener was not Bo Snerdly. My call had to do with the Augusta National (The Masters) and whether women should be allowed (2001?), so I told the screener that I wanted to propose a change to the rules of golf where if any player scores an Ace, they don’t take a stroke for the hole...You know, “just because”...Naturally, the screener did not think Rush would enjoy discussing that idea and promptly hung up before I could say, “but, but...”.

Yeah, maybe it’s time to call in again on OLF...Only this time think of something better to talk about.
