It probably wasn’t the cigars. You don’t inhale cigar smoke. He was also a cigarette smoker years before.Didn't Rush quit cigarettes over a decade ago? Seems like he's been describing his formerly nicotine stained hands for a number of years.
Perhaps it was the cigars that pushed his lung cells over the edge.
