Tanks are obsolete when the military has nothing to complement them in a integrated system like the USA. They are still essential though. Look at Syria and that urban battlefield. "Old" technology like the A-10 shreds tanks in the more open battlefield. The Pentagon needs to war game for ALL enemies. America still has multiple enemies that need to be handled and on multiple fronts.

Arkin was one of the top disinformation specialists proving cover for the Soviet Union’s military buildup and plans over many decades. He was a key figure in the Soviet-friendly (if not aided) Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), a once liberal left think tank that went over to the communists in the late 60’s/early 70’s under Marcus Raskin (whose son Jamie is a Rep. in Congress (D-Md, and just as treasonous)and Arthur Waskow, a renegade so-called Reconstructionist Rabbi (he was one of the planners of the Marxist riots known as the Mayday Protests of May 1971 (I was there and nearly got hit with a 4 lb rock thrown by a member of the Progress Labor Party (we had a few words but I didn’t have to shove a 2-3 ft poster pole up his ass. I would have since I could have been killed by his rock).
Another IPS founder was Richard Barnett, one of Hanoi’s top sympathizers and supporters during the war. His red record is too long to print here. See sites mentioned above.
Arkin is famous among the Left and infamous among patriotic Americans, for trying to list all the US nuclear weapons sites in the US and possibly overseas. Where I come from this is called “treason”.
