Jeb never had a chance, but actually, we did dodge a bullet - there were 17 or so candidates other than Trump. Cruz would have gotten blown out by Skunk Cabbage, and the others, all of the others, were no better than Jeb, and also would have lost, as they refused to address the elephant in the living room (immigration), and somehow thought they could win simply be being ‘not-Skunk Cabbage’.
Well I’ll be dang. I figured the half time crap would last about 25 or 30 minutes, so I walked out to my shop, fed the shop cat and had a drink or two of the beer I was nursing. Missed the whole dang show. Well it sucks to be me :)
Half time looked like a bad lounge act from some queer bar in the 70s. No joke...And the commercials sucked too.
But we’re not supposed to objectify women in the ‘me too’ era, right?
Jeb would not have won the general election. The upper midWest had already voted against Jeb-like McCain and Romney. They weren’t going to vote for Jeb.
Trump was the only candidate who could have won it for the GOP in 2016, and so again this year. And unless the GOP adopts MAGA , America First policies going forward, he’ll be the last GOP president.

I don’t expect the world to act like the church, but our country has had a sense of moral decency on prime time television in order to protect children. We see that disappearing before our eyes. It was demonstrated tonight in the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show—with millions of children watching. This exhibition was Pepsi showing young girls that sexual exploitation of women is okay. With the exploitation of women on the rise worldwide, instead of lowering the standard, we as a society should be raising it. I’m disappointed in Pepsi and the NFL.
