I wish some Freeper with knowledge of the current USMA would comment on the accuracy of this article and its implications. At bottom any officer corps that is not a collection of mercenaries of one sort or other must have a belief in their country that is unconditional and a willingness on any day to be ready to put ones life on the line for the country. This is patriotism an unyielding love of ones country. Not propositional adherence to abstractions but concrete love of ones homeland. If this article is accurate the future of the US Army (USMA grads are still about 40% of GO’s I believe) will be in the hands of psychological weaklings, mercenary pyramid climbers, and poltroons (consider the general officers of Mussolini's army. Aside from Bastico can any be named as patriot warriors.) This is serious stuff people.
