How will the denial of entry to foreign nationals be accomplished?
Hopefully, that means they cannot board a plane inbound to the US.
I dont worry about the caronavirus outbreak in China. I worry about the caronavirus outbreak in America.
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
We’re going to need a bigger cot.

You have about a week....
Check out the travel history of the Mexico/LA case. Imagine the nightmare of trying to track down all his contacts, and then multiply that by ??? cases nationwide.
The man of Chinese nationality and his family moved in Uber to and from the airport, stayed at the Hilton Hotel in the Historic Center .On January 21, he had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. All meals were at the hotel except January 21, which was in a small establishment in Mexico City. That day, the positive Chinese tourist and his family toured historical areas. He walked from the Hilton Hotel to a “historic old street”, about 1 or 2 kilometers; They entered the Metropolitan Cathedral. They entered a museum and a store, but they don’t remember their names. Food during tour were tacos. The family does not remember the name of the restaurant. The appearance of symptoms in the evening of January 21. On January 22, they took flight AA 2546 from Mexico City to Los Angeles . To get to the air terminal they took an Uber and at the AICM they ate at a restaurant which they don’t remember the name of. He developed symptoms in the country, but it was in the US where it was confirmed.
I read that so far all the victims are Asian. Can anyone find out if that is true? It would be weird for a virus to target one race, but it is true that different races are susceptible to different ailments.
Even if someone is reported as being a student at a foreign university, I have heard it’s always been a Chinese student.
Is there a reason the media hasn’t yet mentioned if all the infected are of asian origin?
That’s a good question. Of course, it might not be true, or they might not know because most of the stories have not included the race of the victim.
Like someone said, maybe the Chinese concocted this virus to kill off some old folks and help their pension problems.
Do we know that’s true? Even with the German cases?
He was a Chinese UMass Boston, not Boston University. About $30,000 a year difference.
None of that will matter if the US denies entry to foreign nationals who have been in mainland China in the prior 2 weeks.
I am more interested in the mechanics of how this will be accomplished, particularly if the foreign nationals board a non-American airliner.
Well, what else would they be? They were all over there for CNY. Its the person to person on the plane that will start showing up mid-week.
I don’t know what’s true, I’m just wondering if the reason we haven’t been told the race of any of the US victims, is maybe because they are ALL of asian descent.
so far, MOST victims are Asian IIRC.
however I think at least some of the German victims are native German.
Its a (cough, cough) very, very (cough) low risk to (cough, cough, cough) the United States (cough, cough), Fauci said during an interview with radio show host John Catsimatidis...
