Norman Borlaug was a poor student, but a brilliant agronomist.
He did things with wheat that were explicitly told to be not possible. He just wanted them dome.
Borlaug was a unicorn. Someone who had the right gifts, and was not told to stop by the powers that be.
He is why poor people are now fat the world over, and he is hated by just about ever environmentalist I know.
Not just whites. Asians too.
#16. Hopefully your Air Force engineers and technicians pass on their work ethic and educational achievements to their children and grandchildren. Perhaps one of the greatest gifts they can give besides love.

In my experience (decades ago) all of those students were “preferred minorities” (blacks, Hispanics, women), and there was a good reason for that: White and Asian men lacking those classes from high school were outright rejected as unqualified by the state school, while the “preferred minorities” were admitted without adequate preparation. They’d spend a semester or two in “remedial classes” getting no credits for high school-level classes before becoming de facto freshmen.
Yeah because all fields of study are equally difficult.

I sure am glad I am beyond the days of hiring another person in my business.
High schools are intended to sort out the wheat from the chaff. Don’t attend class? Don’t do you homework? Don’t even take the tests? You are only proving to me at a very young stage of your life that you are not a willing or motivated employee. Participation trophies-—WRIT LARGE.
You refuse to attend class-—WHY would you show up for work in the hours designated? Your personal grooming habits do not meet MY standards of an employee I am willing to have on my payroll.
Have a job that has an HARD deadline? The above described person won’t get it done. I worked many a night past midnight to have all year end bookkeeping done & all W-2’s & 1099’s out on time for my clients. NONE were ever late. As far as I know, NONE of my clients were audited for any work I did for them. Have had one client for 50 years....FIFTY...and I just sent him his 2019 bookkeeping 2 weeks ago.
Then-—when it comes time to have EMPLOYABLE persons attend AND graduate from college-—ostensibly with MORE KNOWLEDGE and to be even more employable, you have skated thru-—without proving you even belong there in the first place.
RUSH is right again-—
THE DUMBING DOWN OF AMERICA-—the prize that becomes the next generation of EMPLOYEES-—and a group of people who, on their own, do not even have enough education or motivation to mow a lawn timely.
I AM GLAD...I won’t be sorting thru these losers....
Keep in mind that John McCain graduated 2nd or 3rd to LAST in his class at Annapolis.

The SAT is hardly an IQ test. It is a knowledge test. Knowing something is not IQ. Being able to derive something is IQ.
