Will Punxsutawney Phil predicts six more weeks of impeachment?
The plump Groundhog's wacky weather prediction always falls on February 2. In the Northern Hemisphere, this date traditionally marks the midpoint between the winter solstice in December and the spring equinox in March.
Today February 2, the people of our nation (at least a few of us) will watch with bated breath as Punxsutawney Phil emerges from his burrow.
Its said that if Phil encounters his shadow, well be in for six more weeks of winter weather, but if he doesnt, then spring is just around the corner. So which will it be this year?
*******
..... looks more tired than Sleepy Joe.
Sacred holiday to Pennsylvania natives. Same as the Mummers parade to Philadelphia people.
I’m watching the Punxsutawney celebration right now on PCN.
A little earlier they sang a grounding song that included the lyrics, “Keep a healthy distance from Bill DeBlasio.”
Stole it!

I little extra stuff:
Although groundhogs usually live only six to eight years, Phil is said to be making his 134th appearance this morning. Every summer at Punxsutawneys annual Groundhog picnic Phil is said to drink a secret magical punch which is supposed to add seven years to his life.
Phil has always been the greatest but there are a few other prognosticators coming up from behind.
The noteworthy General Beauregard Lee of Georgia, and Wiarton Willie of Ontario are also seeking the light.
Although traditionally Punxsutawney Phil makes weather predictions, he has also been known to make political statements. During Prohibition Phil threatened 60 days of WINTER if he was not permitted to drink.

That’s great.
Aren’t there any demonrat Mares handy to kill the woodchuck?
PETA says today promotes animal cruelty. ...
Every day is now Groundhog Day.
If MiniMike was tgere, Phil could bite him...
They’re waking Phil up....
Unlocking the burrow...
Getting Phil out...
That is one well-fed woodchuck...
Phil says early spring!
They feed him bananas! I was interested in seeing that he really didn’t do the shadow thing but it’s more of a pick of scrolls.
Yeah, I don’t recall seeing them do that with Phil before, but since it’s snowing in Punxsutawney, guess the result was a given :-)
Looks like a lot of fun. Hope the locals do lots of business this weekend!
Any woodchucks around here that come out to see their shadow are getting 87 gr hollowpoint @ 3400 fps from my 6mm.
Poof! Instant vapor cloud.
There’s Mare Pete. But knowing what sodomites do with gerbils, I’d hate to think what he’d to with a woodchuck.
