One time firing to kill without warning will save your life, the other time it will kill your kid. There is no hard and fast rules for stuff like this even when you don’t have time to make a decision. There are too many people who are completely reckless with guns, hearing this will just make them even more irresponsible.
What are the odds that people who are reckless with guns spend time reading articles about gun handling on firearms forums and websites?
If good advice is withheld because some people might misuse or misunderstand it then no one should ever give any advice. On anything.
