After months of treading delicately around the issue, the former vice president weighed in very deliberately in a series of stops in the western part of the state this week, spending more time talking about the impeachment trial (and his role in it) than about any of the policy fights that have dominated the campaign until now. Biden’s ads talk about how well he performs against Trump in head-to-head polls, but the impeachment drama illustrates his point far better than they any Quinnipiac survey.
He got to impeachment about midway through his remarks at each stop, after (as is his wont) an extended riff on “character.” And then he turned to Ernst.
“By the way, did anyone see what Joni Ernst said the other day?”
The crowd began to boo.
“Whoooooa!” he said, dropping his voice for comic effect. “Joni, Joni, Joni! She spilled the beans! You know, she’s just come out and said it! The whole impeachment trial for Trump is just about a political hit job to smear me, from the standpoint of Joni and all of her friends. It’s how scared Trump is of running against me.”

“I tell ya what!,” he said. “That’s just flat-out acknowledging, we’ve been doing everything we can do to keep Biden from becoming the nominee. And guess what? We tried it in Iraq and it’s not working - excuse me, in Iran - we tried it in Ukraine, almost got us into a war in Iran, and people got hurt in Iraq. Folks, I mean this is like something out of Alice in Wonderland!”
But folks, Biden was not done.

How bizarre! Are we to believe, then, that the President conspired with Nancy and Schiff-for-brains to impeach him as a political play against Biden? If Biden believes that, it is more evidence that he is mentally unfit for office.

Bernie is polling stronger against Trump than Biden....the whole “electability” angle is falling apart as even Democrats see the corruption of the Biden family.
Biden will not be the nominee. Between his incoherent ramblings and his revealed corruption, Biden has fallen from favor.
Democratic activists own the party and will foist Bernie on us as their nominee...which is dangerous because it mainstreams socialism into our politics and because Bernie could actually win the White House...anyone saying Bernie cannot win sounds like all those who said Trump could not win.
I said almost the same thing last week. Bernie has a sycophantic base, much more so than Biden.
These people should only be allowed to be on Comedy Central.
Problem for Democrap, Joe Biden and his wife is that they are hardly getting any IOWAN Democraps to attend their rallies & meetings. Yesterday, at one campaign stop Joe Biden got 100 people in a gym & Jill Biden got a massive 6 people in a pool hall!!! What a joke!!!
Mother Jones was not reporting on Slow Joe with this article nor even slamming Trump. This was a pro Bernie column without even mentioning him.
They are rabid and violent. If they do not get their way, we will see bloodshed. How much is a question.
But if the DNC does not nominate Bernie now, his followers will leave the party forever. The small number that stayed home in 2016 will look like a victory compared to the vast majority staying home in 2020 (or voting 3rd party).
This could be the end of the DNC either way.
The DNC needs to embrace socialism, which will relegate it as a fringe party for a generation or the DNC will lose 1/3 of its base, which will relegate it as a fringe party for a generation.
I am a member on several pro-Bernie groups online and because he is peaking in the polls now, they are convinced he has the nomination.
If the nomination is taken away from Bernie now, it will be a disaster for the DNC unlike anything seen in modern times.
