The Dark Truth About Mitt Romney

Romney has his own problems that make it clear he is not a real conservative and underscore why Romney is so maliciously anti-Trump.

Romney’s Foreign Policy Adviser Joseph Cofer Black Served On the Board of Burisma Holdings Alongside Hunter Biden:

The Huffington Post reported in 2017:

“Former Director of CIA’s Counterterrorist Center joined Burisma’s board, and he will help to expand the company’s global presence.

Burisma Group, an independent oil and gas company with operations in Ukraine, announced that Joseph Cofer Black will join the company’s board of directors. Joseph Cofer Black’s past experience includes: Director of CIA’s Counterterrorist Center between 1999 and 2002, and Ambassador at Large for Counter-Terrorism between 2002 and 2004. With such a strong background, Mr. Black will be leading the company’s security and strategic development efforts…

Black went on to say, “Knowing all too well the energy and security challenges Ukraine has had to manage, I am pleased to join the Board of a privately held company that has been continuously working to ensure Ukraine’s energy security. Burisma should be proud of its contributions to Ukraine’s economy through its investments in production, job creation and expansion and its tax payments to the state.”

Huffington Post passage ends

Cofer Black, who served as a special adviser on the Romney 2012 presidential campaign, was listed on the Burisma board at the same time as Hunter Biden, according to the Federalist.

He didn’t trash him.
He felt the same way a lot of us felt st the time.
We conservatives have been burned so many times by RINOs. And it just seemed to us here we are with another mccain Romney we have to deal with. Because Trump was so unprecedented, we had nothing else to go by.
And just like every other rino politician we’ve elected, I figured if he was elected, then by March or April I’d be vindicated in my opposition because he would move to the left so hard OR just would be business as usual ignoring the conservative agenda.
I hoped I was wrong. I never wanted to be wrong so much in my life. I love my country more than my pride.
In my mind he had a clean slate when he was elected. I said I’ll be fair but I’ll hold his feet to the fire.

I think Cruz felt the same. And I let me just say that I have never been so glad to be wrong about something in all my life.
Trump came out of the gate so hard and then when he instituted the travel bans, I knew the tide was turning in DC.
Those things Trump did, made me a full throated supporter. And yes the are things I disagree with he has done, but the good he’s FAR outweighed the bad.
I think Cruz feels the same.

And now I’m the most vehement defender of Trump and his policies. And I have credibility because I was never a fan of his and so I have nothing to prove and no agenda. I don’t have to stick with him simply to save face. I gain nothing by making excuses if he’s wrong about something so my motives in defending him are completely pure. The people around me that I have influence with know they can trust my judgement on issues because I don’t look at him with those colored glasses.
But I will say this also... now, I am THRILLED to have him as President. I admire so much he has done.
And I think of all people, Cruz’s defense and support of Trump only bolsters Trump because if anyone has motive to say “I told you so”, it is Cruz. So he isn’t going to go against his principles to defend a man he warned everyone about. If he is defending Trump, then people sit up and listen because they know that’s how he really feels.
And I have noticed when he disagrees with something Trump has done or is doing, he only talks about the facts and doesn’t get roped into bashing him personally and he’s not even very loud or vocal about it because he knows that’s ammo for the left against Trump and he isnt taking the bait.
And I have noticed also that before he says anything in front of a Camera about a view that doesn’t match up to what trump is doing, he has spoken to Trump beforehand.
And that garners respect too. I like that he addresses the issue with Trump before he does publicly. That shows that he fully believes in his stance and isn’t show boating to the media. But those times haven’t been often anyways. Just the budget and a couple of other minor things.

I am a Cruzer but I readily admit... very humbly... that he couldn’t have done what Trump has. He doesn’t have that “teflon”. Trump is unique. Cruz could govern and he has the right conservative policies but no one could shove it all down the liberals throats and tell em to like it the way Trump has. We needed someone who could fight the liberals on their level and get in the mud with them. And come out looking like he just left a fancy Gala unscathed.

It would be nice if the Cruz haters could wipe a slate clean after the 2016 election and not bash him at every turn. Like so many others and I did for Trump after the election. Cruz has earned that respect even if he lost it in the minds of die hard Trumpers for a little while. Just as Trump has earned ours.
Because the only thing the RINOs and liberals hate more than Trump or Cruz... is Trump AND Cruz together. Cruz is a powerful ally in the Senate.
So I think the Cruz haters need to step up and do what they expect the Cruzers to do and let that mess go and judge him based on his actions now and not during the past election.
And quit bringing up when cruz and trump were publicly at odds. That doesnt help our side at all. For everything you point to cruz did that was unsavory, I can point to trump actions at the same time. But I don’t want to. Because that hurts us all right now and both men have endured A LOT to stand up for America and do what is actually best for this country.
Cruz will be stumping for Trump in the fall and and we don’t need Trumpers undermining him or his message. Which is the same as trump’s! Keep America Great!

Or maybe he’s a brilliant constitutional attorney who knows more how impeachment trials work than you and others here who are “reminding” him what an attorney should know.

Grow up. We have a huge fight ahead of us in this election and if you are going to snipe at one of the most conservative men we have in congress and one of Trump’s most full throated defenders, then you are negating the work our side is doing to get trump re-elected.

Get on board or move along but we don’t need to be eating our own.

Cruz said Schiff was under oath during these hearings?

Does he just mean professional oath that attorneys take? Or was he sworn in?
