Sen. Susan Collins (R., Maine) has been receiving profanity-laced voicemails ahead of the Senate vote to determine whether witnesses will testify in President Donald Trump's impeachment trial. This week, Collins's office released several of the voicemails to the media.
"You're a disgrace! A disgrace to this country. Not just to the Senate, but to your country. You're a traitor. You're a f—ing traitor," one man said.
"You're going to lose, Susan Collins. You're going to lose. You're just a little b—h for Donald Trump," a woman said.

I think initially Collins was a likely yes vote on witnesses.
Just like Murkowski was until Nadler insulted her by calling her a dirty conspirator.
Abusive calls likely just pushed Collins over into the no column.

Agreed. Unfortunately, a lot of the people that have commented on this thread aren’t thinking or reading and are reflexively bashing Collins.
Good point. I have mixed feelings about Susan Collins, as many do. But let’s give credit where due, for example, how she stood firm on Kavanaugh. Every politician has a “balance sheet” or “scorecard”, and I challenge any of you, to find any Republican or conservative elected official, with whom you agree 100% of the time.
We will know tomorrow how it all goes down. We can all draw our conclusions then.

I think you are 100% correct. Otherwise, why release this stuff? She’s doing it partly as an excuse to her “moderate” base for voting to end this charade. She’s probably also a little bit angry over the Left assuming they can just push her around.
Calling a Representative is a waste of time and effort. Writing them snail mail will get one a canned response (that you pay for as they all have tax payer paid allowances for mail) and sending email might get you a canned response.
Of course in an election year your chances of getting a robo-response increases.
It would not surprise me in the least if that was the case. I guess they couldn’t get DiFi to lean her up against a wall and get in her face like she did with Lisa Murkowski.
Maybe it's when she's trying so hard to be the Kingmaker, the Centrist. She gets people's hopes up and they can't handle it when she (occasionally) votes in a logical way. She wants to be everyone's darling but ultimately finds that no one likes her because they can't trust her.

It wouldn’t be very nice. I don’t want to get in trouble either over stuff like that so, no point. Some of that stuff people said seems like it could end up with jail time.
