They have huge areas of farmland, could make billions in ecotourism, and have trillions in untapped mineral wealth. Problem is you have poor infrastructure and mass corruption and tribalism.
Africa is the only populated area of the world that never progressed past the Stone Age (with a few very small areas where iron was worked) level of civilization, which explains the tribalism.
