I am beginning to have my suspicions as to why China will not let foreign nationals who are infected leave.

I doubt it has much to do with concerns over public health.

I’m not sure if it’s China or if the other nations just don’t want to risk having infected on the plane with those who are not infected.

Also, if ppl are dual citizens, China doesn’t recognize dual citizenship, especially if the person entered the country on a Chinese passport. Not all countries (England for example) have consulates in China, so having to deal with little napoleons - it’s a diplomatic nightmare.
