UPDATE, with Trump Campaign video President Donald Trumps re-election campaign team has wasted little time using the Don Lemon Boomer Rube moment to stir up support. In a mash-up video that combines footage of the CNN segment with clips from The Hunger Games, Team Trump juxtaposes Lemon with the unctuous purple-haired TV host played in the film by Stanley Tucci.
Watch it below.
Liberal elites in The Capitol ruling class look down on the people, says the message accompanying the tweeted clip. They laugh at you. They mock you. They think you dont matter. Lets prove them wrong on November 3rd.
Last night, Lemon addressed why he was laughing during the CNN segment over the weekend that Trumps allies have seized upon as an example of how the media elite mocks and belittles Trump supporters.

thanks!
Don Lemon was barely a year old during the Summer of Love.
I did not understand what he meant by boomer rube demo. I took boomer to be baby boomer and rube to be a person from a rural area. But what did he mean by demo?
Demographic.
Except in the movie the “rubes” end up kicking their A$$E$ and slaughtering the elite rulers.
There’s that...
Thanks
Yeah but the guest making the comment was probably hanging around Haight Ashbury at the time.
I have my own beef with Lemon. He’s black, he’s gay, and he’s very sensitive to perceived slights to either identities - but he laughs at others. He has had several guests who have made off-color comments about Jews - so much so that a Jewish group wrote him a letter explaining why they found these comments so offensive. In return, Lemon invited guests back on who made even more anti-Jewish slights. Even after be politely explained that he was offending an ethnic group he shrugged it off.
So like I said I don’t know someone could be so obtuse and hypocritical.
