Use the pressure of the "trial" to force witnesses there, and get Roberts to bypass the courts and rule unilaterally.
I don't understand why Republicans like Romney can't see this clearly?

I don't understand why Republicans like Romney can't see this clearly? Yes, that is the basic question. I believe Romney is constantly angling for the White House, and he has no intention of seeing anything that would help PDJT. As many here have observed, Collins and possibly a few others are too worried about re-election to chance common sense at this point.
