Sonia Sotomayor, arguably the most racist and intellectually vapid member of SCOTUS in my lifetime (and I am closing in on 70), if not the whole of American history.
Here is one of her gems:
“Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences, for jurists who are non-white, our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging.”
So much for objectiveness and impartiality.
With all the able and perspicacious judges we could have on the bench, many of whom could have been hispanic &/or female incidentally rather than by design, we had to have an affirmative action pick.
Her judicial abilities are with questionable; she certainly is not capable of formulating a coherent narrative.
