It was crushing to read weekend press reports that my friend and former boss John Bolton plans to publish a tell-all book on his time as President Trump’s National Security Adviser. The book reportedly will be published in March 2020. Given the importance of protecting a president’s confidential discussions with his senior advisers, I strongly disagree with Bolton’s decision to release the book before the November presidential election and call on him to withdraw it from the publisher immediately.

He’s a backstabber. If he wasn’t he wouldn’t have written a book. When the “leak” came out he wouldn’t have confirmed it by saying “look someone leaked my manuscript that was in vetting”. He wouldn’t have used Comey’s publisher.
And last, if he wasn’t a backstabber, he would be on Hannity tonight saying Trump was awesome, a straight shooter, and he saw nothing wrong.
But he won’t.

Can’t remember the talk radio guy who said it a few days ago. He said ——I seriously doubt Bolton would make up a knife in the back Trump story to tell in the hearings. He would seal his fate and never have any leader trust him for a job ever again and would be branded a loser and a traitor by all. Revenge over losing his job under Trump wouldn’t be worth it-—the radio host said.

Bolton is pro-abort, I believe I read (can someone confirm this?); should have never been appointed.
Don’t they sign some kind of nondisclosure agreement when they get a top secret clearance type job????
#2/ Yes. Even we lowly peasants farther down the classification chain have to sign a “form” of non-disclosure agreement. Nothing wrong with that. It is to protect confidential documents, discussions, strategies & tactics discussed/written down, privacy, etc.
M father-in-law, career military (combat, the Pacific, then National intelligence ops), never broke his non-disclosure agreements during his life. He was an officer and a gentleman, with 3 Purple Hearts (Iwo for at least one), and then an unsung hero of the Cold War (He might be featured in a new book that is coming out about the Cold War and US intell operations in West Berlin. I think the author didn’t get to interview him before he died and it wouldn’t have done him any good. My father-in-law knew how to keep his mouth shut and our secrets safe.
Different type of man and generation.
I’m sure he’ll sell a ton of books but I ain’t buying it.
What important person would ever want to work with him again?
