It’s hard to decipher what is going on here regarding witneses. Nobody is watching the impeachment trial. That’s what the blue state GOPers want. Witnesses bring beltway drama. Drama brings viewers.
I suspect McConnell is working the WH furiously in an attempt to get them to agree to Bolton as a witness. That takes that hot potato off his plate and maintains GOP unity.
Trump will be acquitted. The fight now is all about the election.
