Senate Impeachment Trial LIVE - day 6
Ken Star laid the foundation of the defense case. Now its being taken forward step by step until the full picture is painted for the Senate.
And the only conclusion they can reach is the President did nothing wrong and should be swiftly acquitted of the impeachment charges against him.
Trumps lawyers are working to demolish the Houses case. Calling Bolton
as a witness wont rehabilitate it.
Mission accomplished.
When tend to think that showing emotion in this setting is natural, as there is every reason to be angry. It's hard for me to understand how some of the defense team can be so calm.
Mark's controlled right on the EDGE of screaming mode would've been perfect! 😄
Starr is definitely Great.. Just sleep-inducing.
Ken Starr nuked Article 2 of the impeachment. That was his job and he did it well. On Article 1 he held this pile of crap against original intent and the fouling up of the constitution due to the independent counsel statute. He did a great job.
If I ever need a lawyer, I want Purpura to represent me.
This guy is absolutely amazing and continuing the near perfect defense he started on Saturday.
Defense is pounding the law and the facts. No need to pound the table.
Hear, hear!!!!!!!!!
I can explain it because they are me:
When I argue with people I go into “Mr. Spock” mode. That is, the angrier I get, the calmer I appear. The reason is this: If I show anger, I’ve lost.
This used to drive my ex wife bananas. She would ramp it up and I would simply appear to be completely calm the whole time. If you can’t talk to each other calmly, there is no point in talking at all.
Mark has a short fuse, but honestly this country owes him for his tremendous intellect. We NEED him desperately as he sees through the BS.
Yes, that is a very good thing.
I don’t listen to his radio show, it doesn’t come on my radio here in the Poconos any more, used to at 6 pm. I like his show on Fox and the occasional ones he does alone. Worried he’ll have a heart attack with some of his rants, spot on as they are.
Yes, agree. He’s brilliant.
Ken Starr nuked Article 2 of the impeachment. That was his job and he did it well. ... He did a great job.”
Trouble is that even if every one of Trump’s team does a perfect job, the RATs won’t be swayed to vote against impeachment. It has nothing to do with facts; it’s politics.
“RATs wont be swayed to vote against impeachment.”
“Impeachment” = “removal from office”.
Agreed. And what Purpura just showed about Voekler’s discussions shows this. And McConnel can use this if they need to vote on witnesses!
I see your point. But, I have a history of making, and accepting a passionate plea here and there.
the ole preacher style
Tell em what you are gonna tell em
Tell em
Tell em what ya told em
Find his pod casts. I listen to them every night. Dan Bongino pod cast are pretty good as are Jordan Peterson. You can hear Hannity’s too. You can use things like the Tunein app to listen to them.
What an amazing time we live in to learn things. So much written words at your fingertips and audio/video.
Starr today reminded me of the prime-time slot they gave Clint Eastwood during the big convention coverage for Romney.
Both had this amazing opportunity with a huge audience to absolutely crush it - and (intentionally?) torpedoed that opportunity, all while “appearing” to be doing their genuine best.
I love Clint’s movies and think he’s an absolute legend..but have been convinced ever since that the time he had at Romney’s convention was 100% an act - and designed to do more damage than help. Ditto, Star’s time today..that was absolutely terrible for our day two opening. Thank God Sekulo and Purpura both followed him..but how much of the opening audience was lost by that point? Just like Eastwood..
