Senate Impeachment Trial LIVE - day 6
Yes...He and the defense team have a very good set of constitutional facts to proceed from thanks to Starr.
I agree. He gave a master class in a masterful way. He knew his audience, unlike the house managers, who were, as usual, playing to their base, not the jury.
Thank God Purpura is back up. He knows how it’s done. Short, to the point and to the heart of the matter..
NO EVIDENCE that the President made the aid contingent on investigations during the July 25th call.
Back to snippets from the House depositions. Perfect.
****** I agree so now I wonder if Pelosi can go back and start over again, which she threaten anyway. Pelosi was forced into this to protect her son and Biden and son.
Now I know hillary doesn't have my FBI file of the 700 she stole... LMBO
The pen thing is such a great example of how out of touch Pelosi is and also the people in that video clip.
I wish he could have said “Pelosi handed out very expensive pens. Maybe she paid for them? She can afford them, she has become very wealthy while in office. The president? He works for free”.
Might as well be a picture of them grasping at straws.
And his comment was equally biting
LOLOL!
...some people need bells, whistles, and flyffy feathers to sustain their engagement...the mind is not enough.
Video game/texting generation? Needing frequent stim?
Imagine them trying to read The Federalist Papers, in the writing style of that time...
That's awesome, and I hope many many more are in the same boat.
The really sad thing is that nothing he said was new. Nothing was controversial. All of it is or should be "common knowledge" to the intelligencia that occupies the press, etc. Some of what Starr talked about was esoteric, but most of it was basic stuff.
The press does not teach or use basic stuff. It is chaotic, misleading. You literally become stupider if you get your "knowledge" from the news.
It was like listening to the longest run-on sentence ever.
Yes...It was very effective...who knows what Roberts will have to address after this sham is dispensed with.
Some people here -- who, yes, have minds -- also have lives, work and have very limited time to spend watching/listening to this lengthy trial.
OK, Starr made great points, although it took him awhile. Now onto the MEAT.
You think he's gripping. But you are already convinced that President Trump did nothing wrong. The know nothing public who might be tuning in tune in and see a boring lecture. They are looking for someone to be saying, in the small amount of time they're tuning in, "President Trump didn't do it because of this".
Witnesses confirmed Trump was concerned (long standing) of Ukraines corruption. ......June 2017 this was made clear to yonovitch.
Glad to see they are backing up their positions with videos of actual testimony.
Well said, DouglasKC.
...who knows what Roberts will have to address after this sham is dispensed with.
Too bad Roberts is D-conflicted because of his child situation. A solid, un-conflicted judge would have no choice but to call out the House for its gross misbehavior and dereliction of due process.
.....”limited time to spend watching/listening to this lengthy trial”....
Is avaiable on you tube and c-span and others at your leizure.....These trial speakers should not be cut short to satisfy peoples work scheduales or their life...rather to specifically. and with good representation, defend our President to the Senate.
Yes. I've been very impressed with Purpura, Cipollone and Sekulow. Hope we hear a lot from them today.
