When I took a tour of Mongolia three years ago, my guide was a graduate of a university in Ulaan Batar who had majored in English. I was the first native speaker of English that she had ever encountered.
How was his English? The leader of our group spoke fluent Russianl, English and Mongolian. Her English was remarkale for only having spent a couple of months in England. Truly amazing.
