There was audible grumbling and cries of “not true” heard by reporters in the gallery. Schiff managed to alienate Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) one of the few Republicans whom Democrats and the media believe are persuadable on impeachment.

“CBS News reported last night that a Trump confidante said that GOP senators were warned ‘vote against your President, vote against the President and your head will be on a pike’. I don’t know if that’s true: ‘Vote against the president and your head will be on a pike’.

I have to say when I read that, and again I don’t know if that’s true, but when I read that I was struck by the irony, by the irony. I hope it’s not true, I hope it’s not true. But I was struck by the irony of the idea when we’re talking about a president who would make himself a monarch, that whoever that was would use the terminology of a penalty that was imposed by a monarch: a head on a pike.”

Republicans blasted Rep. Adam Schiff Friday after he mentioned a CBS News report that claimed an unnamed “confidante” of President Trump had warned senators that a vote in favor of impeachment would mean “your head will be on a pike.”

Schiff made the comment in his closing remarks in Trump’s impeachment trial on the Senate floor Friday.

“CBS News reported last night that a Trump confidant said that GOP senators were warned, vote against the president and your head will be on a pike,” Schiff said.
That didn’t sit well with many GOP senators.

Graham should be ashamed of himself for any public association or praise of Schiff. The behavior of Schiff over the last year has been one insult after another to the President and his supporting voters. Basically, Schiff is a disgrace and Graham should should show some semblance of dignity and act accordingly.

It's almost looks like "they are throwing the game". But, we know that's not true.

Maybe Schiff mis-spoke.

Perhaps his true meaning was, “vote against Impeachment of Trump and we’ll make sure “your head will be on a pike.””

I suspect this is their intent, but they realize that would direct animosity back towards the Democrats, so they practice the Pivot, and accuse Trump of their vile thinking.
