Agreed. I work with a guy on parole. He is so proud of the fact that he just got a pair of eyeglasses made of glass and metal. In prison, they could only have plastic ones. If that is true, how the heck did this guy have a cane ?

My biggest complaint is what took Watson so long? According to the article, he’s been there 10 years, and the departed were there 14 and 18 years, respectively.

Plead guilty to kiddie porn/child molestation just to avoid harassment even if you're innocent??? I've never been accused of a crime but if I were accused of a minor crime...perhaps trespassing...I might plead guilty even if I wasn't just to lower my lawyer's bills.

But crimes against kids can get you 10+ years of hard time.

Of course our legal system is imperfect...as is every other aspect of our society. As a result it's not difficult to imagine that there are those in this country who are wrongfully convicted of a crime.

It's also easy to believe that there are people,particularly those who are mentally ill or mentally deficient (low IQ),who plead guilty to crimes they didn't commit.

My comment was regarding pleading guilty to a *serious* crime I didn't commit simply to get the cops/courts off my back.

It should be noted that the position I've noted here assumes that no torture has occurred.
