A Santa Cruz-area MS-13 gang member pleaded guilty in court Friday.
According to the Department of Justice, Tomas Rivera (aka Profugo, aka Caballo, aka Jonas Portillo Escobar) pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy, and conspiracy to commit murder and extortion for his role as a Santa Cruz Salvatrucha Locos gang member.
Advertisement The Santa Cruz Salvatrucha Locos is an MS-13 subset operating in the Santa Cruz area.
Law enforcement officials said Rivera was second-in-command of the Santa Cruz gang. He was alleged to have used violence and murder to enforce MS-13 rules.
Chief Andrew Mills of the Santa Cruz Police Department said, We are grateful to our federal partners for assisting Santa Cruz with taking a very violent criminal off our streets.
Part of the plea agreement says that Rivera admitted to being "was a high-ranking participant in a criminal conspiracy perpetrating murder, extortion, and drug trafficking, and a member of the notorious transnational gang MS-13."
Seven other defendants pleaded guilty earlier for their roles in the Santa Cruz Salvatrucha Locos and six have been sentenced.
Video is from previous broadcast when gang members were arrested in 2018.
Now execute him as a non-uniformed enemy combatant.
I notice the article doesn’t mention whether this scum bag is here legally, or illegally.
And the chances of all eight of them being here legally have to be less than the chance of your local Brownie troop winning next years Super Bowl.
LE knew he was a leader in a murderous cult and couldn’t get rid of him on their own?
Ya know CA is effing done when even leftist venues like Santa Cruz have their own murdering gangs.
California being a “Sanctuary” state is an invitation to every kind of criminal and criminal activity in general.
Some faction of Government needs to arrest all politicians that have anything to do with creating sanctuary states or counties or cities.
DOJ?
I lived in Santa Cruz for 15 years back in the late middle of the last century, ‘60’s and ‘70’s.
