Italy’s far right leader, Matteo Salvini, is hoping to cause a political shock by winning Sunday’s regional election in Emilia Romagna, a stronghold of the left since the Second World War. That could topple the government and sweep him to national power. So what is driving support for his populist far right League?

Matteo Salvini was kicked out of office as minister of the interior where he was successfully keeping the bearded ones out of Italy. I suspect the pope was instrumental in getting Salvini kicked out.

I see that the left in this video is connecting the right to Hitler. If I recall, Hitler was the one who was invading other countries and killing them off. The left came to power in these parlamentary states because you can get elected with 30% of the vote... this system allows an organized determin minority to over represent itself and takes time for the other 70% to unify against them... eventually however it happens.

The cause for the rise of the Right in Italy is clear: uncontrolled immigration from the Third World leading to crime and social chaos. The Left views the immigrants as a way to remake traditional Italian society, and Italy’s citizens are beginning to realize that they and their way of life are marked for destruction.
