A new poll shows Americans are more likely than not to support President Donald Trumps decision to order a drone strike that killed an Iranian general, even amid widespread skepticism about his foreign policy overall.
The poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research was taken about two weeks after the Jan. 3 strike that killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani in Iraq.
It found that 41% of Americans approved of the action while 30% disapproved of it.
The rest didnt express an opinion either way.

“...amid widespread skepticism about his foreign policy overall...
BS.......Consider the source...
How is the ‘Rat War with Iran going?
They’re still in mourning over Soleimani, I thought.
Yep...If it continues this way, they’ll just make-up numbers even more than they do now...
It was a good start.
“It found that 41% of Americans approved of the action while 30% disapproved of it.”
“The rest didnt express an opinion either way.”
My guess is the 29% who offered no opinion did so out of some fear of a possible retribution (harassment). I believe almost all of the 29% claiming no opinion were in favor since it is only the far Left who opposed his killing and those people are never afraid to voice their true feelings.
I’ll say close to 75% actually agree the hit was a good idea.
Tiny part of a long list of words that trigger wordsmithing alarms that should immediately force you to turn the page or change the chanel.
Exactly...
Plus, who answers anonymous phone calls? I see a number I don’t know, I don’t answer it.
Polling is dead
The numbers are pure BS at this point.
I think 30% who oppose is way too much, who did they survey? CNN’s news room?
Or is that 30% who is still programmed from the MSM and believe it is wrong because some talking head on some news show said it was wrong?
So, of those with an opinion, a strong majority approved.
But at the time, the liberals and media exhibited such angst about it, that it was going to trigger world war 3 and all that.
The media sure were out of step with the people on this one.
Probably correct. I think some who do answer will identify as Republicans while they are in fact Democrats and then answer questions in a way negative to Republicans.
Polling, if not dead completely has certainly lost almost all credibility.
The crazy super insane thing was that Iran deal that Obama put together
that was a complete and utter disaster and the fact that he gave them power to cash in the middle of the night was another pathetic move on his part
Iran which is really Persia is the SHiite power in the region - pretty much everybody else is Sunnis
Saudi is the center of the city universe and we are all Muslims are to go in your lifetime on the Hajj
Oh Bami obviously was a Shiite and hearing in doubt Jared is number one gal is from Iran carry his foreign-policy guy his daughter married in Iranian
so it just goes on and on and on with these people
What is idiot liberals see is Persia they dont say be thugs they took over the country and run at Tarrorist theocracy
This scumbag Soleimani shouldve been killed long ago
And you know what? You have to read carefully in the news because its not front and center but theres all kinds of other terrorist thugs from Iran and the BAsiji and Hamas and hezbollah that are getting taken out by dudes on motorcycles with machine guns !
so Trump showed him how its done
Al Reuters deeply saddened
Survey was done by the National Opinion Research Center (NORC), which is part of the left-wing University of Chicago.
They must be shocked that they still came out with a majority that favored Soleimani’s death no matter which way they cooked the numbers.
With the remaining 25% disapproving due to it being an overdue arrival.
It's hard to overstate Soleimani's importance with regard to Iran's overall program of exporting revolution. As the commander of what is essentially Iran's SS, that government never should have allowed him to leave the country, because field commanders take field commanders' chances and his finally crapped out.
The daily and evening news cycles have completely eliminated the firms that used to conduct push-polling efforts. With today’s journalism they removed the middle man.
