Democrats will gladly watch their case in the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump "go down in flames" in order to prevent former vice president Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, from testifying, conservative commentator Ben Shapiro said Thursday.
"I am amused by the Democrats claiming that we need all these documents ... but under no circumstances should we hear from Hunter Biden, whose conduct was at the center of this entire debacle," Shapiro said on the "The Ben Shapiro Show."

Schiff also said Hunter Biden's testimony would allow Republicans to "smear a presidential candidate."
"Why is that you get to pick the witnesses?" Shapiro responded. "You got to do that in the House and you didn't call the ones you wanted, so now you don't get to determine who the witnesses are."

So what does this tell us?
Among other things, it tells us that a significant number of Dems believe Slo Joe is their only chance (and the Indian Princess is NOT).
BTW, I think Bootyjudge is running for VP (and so far it looks like he stands a good chance of getting it).
They are not protecting Hunter Biden. They are protecting themselves. They have been using Ukraine to laundry money and enrich themselves and their familise on a massive level.

The Senate (the Republicans) should agree to and call only one witness- Hunter.

The kids of Biden, Kerry, Pelosi, and Mittens were hired to be the conduits of the kickback of billions back to Hillary, the DNC and the Dim party.
If hunter is subpoenaed he will have an accident before, you can bet on it! My guess is The Ukraine like many other countries are money laundering schemes of foreign aid where everyone involved takes their vig until the remainder ends up in a politicians bank account
For that the Republicans are averse to calling the Bidens for witnesses. Most of the Republicans are implicated in the foreign aid kickback scheme that is inherent in foreign aid. A Hunter grilling would too easily become an exposure of how the FA deal works and would soil most of our lawmakers. The only ones escaping it would probably be first term Representatives.
I would love to see that all play out.
The issue is that, even if Hunter is innocent (very unlikely), so long as his conduct is somewhere on the spectrum from reasonable suspicion to probable cause, their case falls apart. Trump’s request for an investigation was reasonable. Given Hunter Biden’s $50k a month with no regional or industry expertise, the far-left’s case is 100% guaranteed to fall apart with or without Hunter’s testimony.
This is all a political gimmick to use the globalist left’s British and Ukrainian sources and manipulate the 2020 election; the democrats have no interest in something as unrealistic as a successful Senate trial.
In addition, the DEMs will just reboot and forge ahead with additional impeachment inquiries with the hope the voting public will tire of the nonsense and just want it to go away. In their case, they hope for Trump to be voted out.

With Hunter they don’t need Joe and they would not issue a Joe subpoena just because the crook is running for President and is the current Democrat star player. Actually investigating federal felonies is partisan politics against the noble SocialDemocrats
By protecting the Bidens, they’re protecting all their corrupt selves. Theses kickbacks from “Foreign Aid” involve hundreds in Washington, DC. It’s how they go to DC with no net worth to speak of, and return home after a few terms, multi-millionaires. Maxine Waters, or Bernie Sanders might be Exhibit-A.
Ukraine is only one meager example. This involves every nation receiving “Foreign Aid”. The kickbacks from all that money coming back to DC totals BILLION$. ONE billion is a thousand million. One billion getting distributed among the Deep State can give a million each to 1,000 insiders; tax free; no deductions! Fewer insiders; larger payoffs. It’s amazingly simple.
The Rats are really trying to take over the Senate. They know the Prez will have a second term. Their wet dream is to have the Senate and House and effectively make the Whitehouse useless. IMHO
US knows of Hunter. Why not call Ashley Biden?

If Trump’s lawyers call witnesses and wrap this trial up in perfection, it will not be obvious or evident to anyone due to the cover up and lying by the MSM.
The democrats will scream and lie just as much as ever and make out they proved their case.
Whatever the Republicans will do, the democrats and MSM will scream and lie and claim Trump is guilty.
The charade should be ended early next week.

We tend to kick around these numbers as if they're mere pocket change, but in reality most of us will only realize one million within our entire working career, and not as an accumulation of wealth but as an aggregate total of earnings.
One Billion is a massively huge number for most of us ... that the number is kicked around so flippantly just boggles the mind.
