Compare this to where the Feds chose to locate their lab. It may or may not (depending on your proximity) distress you to hear that the Federal HQ for studying infectious diseases is located in Bethesda, Maryland, one of the poshest cities in the country, literally a few miles outside DC city limits. I expect the Chinese lab is in Wuhan because they couldn’t make it any more backwater and still retain talent. The Chinese leadership wisely (from their perspective) chose to locate this lab thousands of miles away from their offices and homes in Beijing, which speaks well of their instincts for self-preservation.

You want to see some major league irony, read this article that talks about the lab in Wuhan being the ONLY one in China that can safely contain the virus for examination. Not one word about the lab possibly being the source.
