Probably the most effective Majority Leader since Lyndon Johnson.
In hindsight it was wrong of the Senate majority not to institute the “Pelosi Rule” - which I now propose, and name after the politician who famously argued that non-bipartisan impeachment would damage the country.

My proposed "Pelosi Rule” would require at least 55 (perhaps 60) votes for the Senate to take up an impeachment from the House. After all, it takes 67 senate votes to convict - if there is absolutely no prospect of a conviction in the Senate - there is no virtue in wasting the time of the Chief Justice of SCOTUS. Let alone the that of the entire Senate.

Agree. The senate should have immediately dismissed this charade which is based entirely on lies, heresay, and a secretive process akin to a kangaroo court.

By refusing to dismiss the case the senate is wasting valuable time, and worse, it is effectively legitimizing this destructive travesty.
