There is either Hell or Heaven. There is no "purgatory".

I realize that you haven’t written or studied the Bible for 2000 years.
Do some research and you might find it. Obviously, the word is not in the Bible , but the concept is.
For every sin, punishment is due. The reality of Purgatory ensures that those that fail to do penance on earth are not better off than those that do.
The ancient apostolic practice of praying for the dead is itself evidence of the state of Purgatory.
