Think about all those poor senators trapped behind their desks with eyelids propped open with toothpicks, unable to move around or even fidget in their seats while consuming large quantities of milk and water. Especially hard on the more elderly senators sitting there in squishy depends. Probably the reason Feinstein sneaked out early last night.
Don’t forget they can eat candy bars.
Need the energy to stay upright at their desks.
I did get a laugh out of Adam Schiffforbrains' admonition that the Senators were to remain seated under threat of imprisonment.
