that was NOT my experience at all when working in the PRC: i was astonished at how clean the people and their clothing were, much cleaner and fresher than when i was in France ...

Our local Chinese restaurant was shut down for 3 months when a person saw staff scraping leftover food from people plates back into the food bins on the buffet.
Check out my earlier posts. When I was around 20 I work for a carpet cleaning service in Austin Texas. We were called to clean a Chinese restaurant. I went into the back into the kitchen... There were huge vats of oil with crumbles in them apparently they were going to be reused. there were dead cockroaches and live cockroaches all over the place. And believe me cockroaches get huge in Texas.
I did not eat Chinese food for a very long time after that.
