LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. -- An area veteran is tossing his hat into the political ring, announcing he is running for Congress.
Staff Sgt. Earl Granville posted a video on his website Thursday morning explaining why he is running as a Republican for Congress in the 8th District against incumbent Democrat Matt Cartwright.
The 8th Congressional District covers much of northeastern Pennsylvania.
Granville joined the Pennsylvania National Guard in 2001 and went on to serve tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He was severely injured in an attack in Afghanistan and lost his leg.
Scranton is the hometown of Joe Biden and Bob Casey Jr., the dumbest male member of the U.S. Senate. There is something in the water there.
Despite being an uphill battle, however, the district is not Philadelphia class stupid. Hard work and luck in the right combination could flip it.
Cartwright? He was a regular at the Chinese restaurant.
Bloomburg will be shoveling loads of money into Cartwright’s pockets. His ads are dominating channel 16. He’s just like Casey, a rubber stamp rat. I wonder if Slow Joe will help him too. They cannot afford to loose this seat.
One of the ads that bloomie is running has a nurse from new york featured and how bloomie fixed new york city’s medical problems. If he can do that, he can fix the country. I think he is pandering to the new york/new jersey infestation of North Eastern Pennsylvania. Cartwright is running an add on the same theme but, Trump is taking away your healthcare. Next will be the same old broken record of video of poor seniors playing with prescription bottles and Trump kicking granny out of the home.
