I don’t think this particular case is a great example of police brutality. Some stupid gal, that just happened to be a cop, walked into the wrong apartment and shot this guy.
It's a horrible example of "Police Brutality". It was a tragic event, clearly a bad decision on the part of the cop, clearly murder under Texas law (manslaughter in most states), was NOT under the color of authority, she was off-duty, and there was no clear evidence that race played into her decision to pull the trigger. The cop was charged, prosecuted and convicted of murder, sentenced to 10 years and will serve at least 5 years. The ONLY controversial event was the idiot Texas Ranger, raising the blue wall and testifying that NO CRIME was committed. Fortunately, his "testimony" was disqualified, and the jury never saw it.
