You didn't seriously believe they were going to stop with plastic straws and single-use plastic bags, did you?
The momentum is on! Millions of true believers are ready to take up the cause!

Plastics are made from petroleum. Transforming plastic waste into fuel or some other compound is an engineering task.

This guy obviously hasn’t been out counting trees recently.

Plastics are made from petroleum. Transforming plastic waste into fuel or some other compound is an engineering task. Catalytic pyrolysis will yield a usable oil. You can even used a mixed stream of plastic. Halogenated plastics aren't very good for this, but most waste would be. The process was understood in the 1980s.

I’m going to learn how to make plastic just so I can litter with it.

This drives me crazy, I can’t wait to see how health problems go through the roof because nothing is stored or sold in proper hygienic containers.

This is the year that people communists posing as environmentalists all over the world demand meaningful action on the plastic pollution crisis.

In 2018, Starbucks announced that it was getting rid of plastic straws for many of its drinks and transitioning to a new lid that does not require a straw. Unfortunately, the new lid is not recyclable in most locations across the country and it actually contains more plastic than the previous lid and straws did combined.
Oh, the stupid. It burns!

Even if you buy into the general arguments presented here.. please explain to me how plastics are more harmful to poor communities than other ones?

I am so cheap that I use my single-use plastic utensils until they break. They wash up just like a metal fork, knife, and spoon does.
