It is a symptom of the end of NEW JERSEY; many of these are the “replacement Americans” trafficked here to replace the Americans dying off or fleeing. Both NJ and neighboring NY are having a very difficult time retaining young Americans. There are high costs combined with a McJobs economy, as many of the employers have fled the high costs.
Remaining private-sector employers find it easier to hire imported Asian scabs for white-collar, and the bloated public sector is primarily affirmative-action token hiring.
As families move from high-cost areas to lower-cost ones within the state, the costs rise with the school population - the primary driver of our high property taxes. American homeowners see no reason to pay for all the foreign students, so they pack up and leave.
