There is a bridge road that has his Uncle Teddy’s stink on it but no street sign...that mishap prevented uncle ted from ever being President but since JFK was assassinated, uncle teddy got to be the Lion of the Senate for life. So much to be proud of!

I recall when Ted announced he would run for president against sitting president Jimmah Cahtah. Ted appeared at a farm coop elevator in Iowa and gave a rousing speech on agricultural matters.

Then, looking out at the rail tracks, he shouted “How's the service out here on the Wabash ?” Ted indicated he would “hold hearings” on farm issues.

The farm folks were stunned at the “Wabash” mention since it had been more than 100 years since the Wabash had served Iowa.
