The main problem with most homeless people isn’t that they don’t have homes.

right

I worked in a state run hospital (1960's) which was shut down, releasing these people on to the street.

the hospital was clean and civil; most importantly the residents got necessary medication and health care.    it was a locked ward with privileges for those who earned them. no drugs or alcohol allowed.

bad mistake to close them

I remember when the bleeding heart libs decided it was unfair to keep people who had mental, drug, etc. problems in state facilities.

Solution . . . cut them free and fund their care in the community. Only problem is no funding was really forthcoming.

At least most of these poor people are in CA, NY and other paradises of the left.
