One thing that we could under international law is to treat any combatant not wearing a uniform be immediately shot as a spy. That would keep things simple.

Not just a democrat.

An entire globalist power structure bolstered by a grand strategic theory based on Russian/US -Western confrontation. We inherited the Great Game, When in the name of God are we going to stop letting it chew up our troops and bankrupt us?

Now, we took out the Taliban and installed a government. Should we get the heck out of there now?

No. We need a base operation to combat Islamic terrorism and have one in Afghanistan.

What has it cost us in terms of irreplaceable lives and treasure?

How many American lives have been saved because we have been in the middle east fighting and destroying Islamic terrorists? Thousands.

Ignoring Islamic terrorist groups won't make them go away. We tried that under Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama and 9/11 and rise of ISIS was the result.

Don’t forget Alexander the Great and his Macedonian troops. One of the greatest military leaders of all time, at the head (and even front!) of one the greatest armies and empires of the Classical Age, could not subdue and tame the people of Afghanistan. And that was many centuries before even Muhammed was born.

What force keeps this thing going?

The same force that keeps us in Germany and Japan 75 years after WWII -- it is in our strategic interest to be there.

We're not in a war in Afghanistan and haven't been since Bin Laden was killed.

YES! Get the eff out now.

Why the hell should we? It is in our strategic interest to remain there and have base of operation to combat Islamic terrorists that threaten Americans.

Do you want to return to Bill Clinton's foreign policy that lead to 9/11?

Islamic terrorists aren't going to ignore us if we leave and we'll have to go back and destroy them again if we do.

And if we had never had a continuing presence there in the first place? Why did we go to Iraq in the early 90s? What other battles and wars beforehand we were part of? Why did we go to Mogadishu?

“it is in our strategic interest to be there.”

What is that strategic interest.

And if we had never had a continuing presence there in the first place?

Another 9/11 or worse may have occurred. Something that forced to go back certainly would have.

There is easy answer to Islamic terrorism. Islam is a religion of conquest and has been since its inception.

Radicals will always hate the US because it isn't Islamic, because it is aligned with Israel, or in the case of the Shiites, because we align with the SAudis.

There is no “strategic interest.”

Actually, when Bubba had the chance to kill Osama bin Laden in the late 90’s, he shouldn’t have told Albright before the mission. Seems she spilled the beans. Had Bin Laden been killed then there would not have been a USS Cole or 9/11 attack.

Doesn’t matter what it costs because the elites told us this was the “good” war that we could be proud to engage in
