They’ve got millions of easily-led cannon fodder with nothing to lose - made so by their own policies and rhetoric. They want revolution (it’s the core leftist motive). They also have a considerable portion of the justice system, education system, communications giants, etc. stacked against us.
We’ve got families, homes, interests outside of politics, and are reluctant to give them up. We just want to be left alone to go on with our lives.

They did not want a revolution and even told the King that.
But when the hammer fell they knew that some blood had to be shed to gain freedom from oppression and the ruling class.
